Under Queensland law (Electrical Safety Regulation 2013 + WHS laws), you must regularly inspect and test specified electrical equipment and safety switches to ensure they remain safe for use. The law requires: The person doing the testing must be competent (trained, skilled) Tests must occur at intervals appropriate to the equipment, environment, and use Failed equipment must be removed or repaired by a licensed person, and clearly marked as unsafe Records of inspections, tests and tags (or other identifiers) must be kept We follow the guidelines of the AS/NZS 3760 standard (and where relevant AS/NZS 3012) as the accepted method to carry out inspection, testing and tagging — so you can rely on those intervals and procedures as best practice.
