What electrical testing photos can tell you

Electrical testing produces information that you cannot always see by looking at an appliance. These photos offer a closer look at the readings and results displayed during testing.

In this photo, the tester displays a tick beside the visual check and a cross beside the insulation test. The two results sit on the same screen, illustrating why a visual check and an electrical measurement provide different information.

This separate photo displays an insulation-resistance reading greater than 200 megaohms with a tick for that individual test. That screen records one test outcome; it does not, on its own, show every check carried out on the equipment.
