Pricing is based on each separately testable mains-powered appliance or removable mains component. Each becomes one billable test/tag record and normally receives its own identification label.

USB-powered keyboards, mice and similar extra-low-voltage peripherals are not normally separate PAT items. If equipment has several independently removable mains components, each testable component is counted separately.
Why a portable RCD is one specialist item
A portable, plug-connected RCD normally receives one identification tag and is recorded as one asset. It may nevertheless require several checks—such as visual inspection, polarity, protective-earth continuity, insulation or leakage testing, and RCD operating tests as applicable. It is therefore priced as one specialist portable RCD item, not as a standard $6 item and not as several separate items. This service does not include testing switchboard-mounted or fixed-installation RCDs.

Access and equipment movement
The published prices assume equipment is safely accessible and ready for testing. Normal access and minor repositioning are included. Additional charges may apply when testing requires substantial furniture or equipment movement, dismantling, production shutdown coordination, repeated reconnection, difficult access or additional labour.
